• Exophthalmos (Prominent Eye) is to protrude (pop out) eyes abnormally, and they occur due to congenital and acquired cause.
  Prominent eyes have not only the aesthetic problem , but also can occur swelling eyes, congested eyes, and blurred vision. So they need to be corrected as soon as possible.

We incise ocular conjunctiva which is shown as drawing an interior orbital part towards the nose and processing the surgery. We can osteotomize orbital wall bones through ocular conjuctiva and push the osteotomize bone towards a medial orbital wall and then enlarge the orbital space.

  As incising ocular conjunctiva and enlarge orbital space or reloose-fitting orbital fat, there is no scar left. This approach technique is totally different from the technique performed in the past which incised scalp or orbital depressionsurgery which broke orbital bone.		In order to prevent side effects, we EFIL check preoperatively intraocular pressure, visual acuity and visual field thoroughly and minimize side Effects by using hypotensive anesthesia and managing patients continuously after surgery.

  In the past, the orbital surgery taken 4~5hrs was seriously considered to lose eye-sight. Unlikely the past surgery, we perform orbital expansion surgery within 1 hr. In order to check the postoperative safety, we recommend to stay at our cent for 1 day.		When performing orbital expansion surgery, we osteotomize slight orbital bones with a hi-technology device and using this is so safe to patients.
